Today was annual inventory. I was “on loan” to a very busy pharmacy today and had to man both the indoor cash register and the drive through window by myself. There was never a time when there wasn’t at least two people (or cars) in line waiting to pick up their medicines. I asked the other pharmacy technician to help out when the line got really long and she kept refusing! The store that I usually work at would never have let that happen!
But the pharmacist that was working today was very busy, doing the annual inventory. She was stressed to the max! I got the impression that she did not do any of the inventory ahead of time because I saw the sheets of paper she needed to fill out and they were all blank. I was surprised because the other pharmacies that I’ve worked in had been much better prepared and had started to do their inventory ahead of time.
Anyway, when it was time to punch out I was out of there like a shot! I’m not anxious to go work at that store again! I was really tired!
