I’ve been having difficulty finding out what my work schedule for this week is. The boss who schedules my hours has been very evasive. The work week starts on Sunday and I tried to contact him and left messages last Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, asking him what my schedule is. I finally got hold of him Tuesday evening and he apologized for not getting back to me sooner. He explained that the girl that was planning to leave that I was hired to replace has changed her mind about leaving and that now I might not get any hours at all!
He said that he would not be able to give me hours this week, and that he would call me later this week to tell me if I have any hours next week. That is NOT good news. It took me two months to negotiate this job, and now it looks like I have to start looking for another job. In this economy job hunting is NOT the activity I want to be engaged in!
